Here
is Chandra Sekhar Pasricha, a man with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, who keeps trying his hand at various streams; while
managing a job and a family.
Greatly under the influence
of his father, Pasricha followed one motto: “Excel in whatever you do.” This was applicable to something as frivolous
as his school exams and as big as competitive exams and his job.
Pasricha speaks for himself,
“I have performed my work with the utmost sincerity. The bank has also offered me immense exposure through various crash
courses and whenever an opportunity beckoned, I was always there to avail it.”
But it seems Pasricha creates
his own opportunities. This is evident from the way he has obtained various degrees. He joined PNB as management trainee in
1977. He pursued LL.B. in the evening classes and later started taking lessons in reasoning at Y.M.C.A. and came out with
a book for preparation of bank exam at probationary level. When Pasricha decided to M.B.E., he shifted his duty in the evening
to attend classes in morning.
He is the Astt. General Manager
of Punjab National Bank. He is also the Chairman of U.P. and Uttaranchal Chapter of Indian Society For Training and
Development. When he was posted to Lucknow,
the Urdu poetry lover suddenly came alive and he learned Urdu for two years from a private tutor and got the Adeeb_e_Kamil.
Pasricha has also written couplets in Urdu.
It seems there is no stopping
such a man. Pasricha has already cleared a part of Intermediate exam for company secretaryship. He plans to conduct more research
and write book on controversial banking problems in the future. Today, he is often summoned to deliver lectures on leadership
and motivation at zonal branches of PNB.
Says Pasricha “I plan
my day and keep striking off the things I do. If after 10 days, an item remains on the list, it means it is unimportant.”
In routine, Pasricha can’t have a good night’s sleep if he doesn’t read at least for an hour. In a nutshell,
Pasricha says, “One must manage his time like money. Your results will depend on how wisely you use this money.”
He is 51 with pleasing personality
and an extrovert bent of mind. He stood first in Diploma in Bank Management Examination held by the Indian Institute of Bankers
in the year 1997 and was awarded three prizes. Practical, cool-headed and thoroughly meticulous -- that's what Chandra Sekhar Pasricha is in
a nutshell. He is not unnecessarily swayed by emotions and even if sentiments were running high, he can keep a cool
head to weigh his approach. Often quiet and reserved, he tries to stick to his world, keeping it as tidy and
perfect as he can. Nevertheless, he is bustling with energy and always have plenty to do. He is not
afraid of taking on challenges and prove his mettle with hard work and a quiet determination. His quest for perfection
and his inability to ignore even the smallest of faults generally proves good for him. He is Nelson's Horatio,
quite content not to be in charge, but there to make sure everything runs smoothly and is done as required. He believes in
fair play and rarely manipulate.
He supervises, controls and co-ordinates the
various functions of the Branch Office and tries his level best to listen to individual grievances of the customers
and employees and resolves them. In his able leadership-this branch is making rapid progress in all spheres.
This site has been developed with a view to interact with
such a highly qualified person with wide exposure in the field of Banking, Audit, Control and Security. It would be
worthwhile for those in these fields to seek help, guidance and support from Shri Pasricha.
